I didn't pay much attention to the King Arthur part of learning in school. This book takes a complete unknown genre and holds the hand of the reader via footnotes so that you can have the full benefit of what's going on in the author's head and the understanding of the subtleties of the plot. I was an English major in college so I always have a tough time reading a book without tearing it apart. This was a fun, easy read with plenty of action and depth. I felt like the characters were well developed and there was a good plot that twisted and turned through several different concurrent scenes and did it masterfully. I'm waiting eagerly to see if there will be a sequel!P.S. - I recommend reading the appendix at the end AFTER you finish the main book as well. There's something in there that you will connect with what happened after the banshee battle. I will say no more :-) on that topic.

Three Days and Two Knights An Amusing Arthurian Adventure edition by Scott Howard Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This is a fantastic book that truly brings the reader into the times of King Author. The characters are memorable and relatable. As someone who studies literature, this is definitely one of my favorites and I would totally recommended it!
I'm normally not a reader of historical novels or fantasy but this one really grabbed me and didn't let go! Lots of action, plenty of moral decisions interspersed with philosophical dialogue between all the major characters. Cant wait for the next installment from Scott Howard!
This was such a fun read! I have enjoyed many telling of the King Arthur stories; if you are a junkie like I am, you must add this to your collection. The author tells a great story and sneaks in some philosophizing, romance, and humor along the way. It's a winner!
I am so busy these days with research that I rarely read non-academic books. I am very glad that my husband twisted my arm and got me to read this. I don't tend to laugh out loud when reading. I think the last time I giggled this much when reading a book was in the middle of Mark Twain's "Roughing It." Scott Howard's novel reminds me of what I like in Twain's work silliness with purpose. It is a book that middle schoolers and high schoolers will love. Do yourself a favor, grab this book, and laugh.
Three Days and Two Knights is a great Arthurian tale. It has action, adventure, magic, comedy, romance and fast pace. This would make an excellent movie!
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the focus on character development. I won't give it all away, but I really grew to love Sir Alanbart as he grew. Sometimes, authors struggle to show characters change throughout a story, but Three Days and Two Knights did a great job. The transitions felt organic and genuine. Heather rocks.
I spent a fair amount of time on Wikipedia looking up famous characters from Arthurian lore, but it was not a requirement to engage in the story. Also, I'll never look at Wiglaf the same way. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good story with dynamic and relatable characters.
the characters have a fun twist for an arthurian tale. much more human than many authors. the plot was really a nice twist from some of the darker tales and a very fun read. i enjoyed it and look forward to a second book. as an older reader, 65, it was just what i enjoy. a clever tale with characters i wanted to hear about.
